SPECIALTY TREATMENTS FOR ACTIVE WOMEN FROM ACTIVE WOMEN

At the ONS Women’s Sports Medicine Center, we know women’s sports injuries- not just as female doctors but as athletes too.

Our team of experts consists of current and former athletes and fitness enthusiasts who know first-hand what it takes to train, compete and just stay physically fit.  They have served as team physicians for  numerous international biking and fencing championships, and currently provide medical coverage for the Columbia University sports teams and the Greenwich High School sports program.

FEMALE ATHLETES AND INJURY

The Women’s Sports Medicine team has experience treating the injuries that are most likely to plague active and athletic women and the conditions girls are prone to develop while pursuing excellence in sports, dance and other physical activities. They provide clinical expertise in sports and dance medicine, physiatry and physical therapy, orthopedic surgery, and prenatal and post-natal musculoskeletal health.  When needed, referrals for nutritional counseling and psychological support are available.
