Partial Knee Replacement

HOW IS IT DIFFERENT FROM TOTAL KNEE ARTHROPLASTY?

Partial Knee Replacement surgery replaces a damaged portion of the knee –  the medial (inside), lateral (outside) or the patella (kneecap), with a prosthetic implant. This then leaves healthy ligaments and unaffected cartilage in place.Illustration of the knee joint

Some patients may be good candidates for a same day outpatient procedure.  Read the comprehensive  Outpatient Knee Replacement Surgery brochure to learn if this option is right for you.

Schedule an appointment with an ONS joint replacement specialist or call (203) 869-1145

The video below demonstrates this procedure, however, a patient’s surgery may vary according to the individual’s condition.
