HAND, WRIST & ELBOW SPECIALIST JOINS TEAM OF ONS PHYSICIANS PRACTICING IN GREENWICH AND STAMFORD. 
ONS is pleased to announce that orthopaedic surgeon, Matthew B. Cantlon, MD, has started seeing patients in our Greenwich and Stamford offices. Dr. Cantlon’s expertise includes treatment of arthritis of the hand, wrist and elbow, fractures, sports injuries of the hand and upper extremity, and nerve compression conditions including carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel syndromes.
Dr. Cantlon has extensive training in the most current surgical techniques including the breakthrough wide-awake hand surgery, which uses local anesthesia for faster recovery and fewer post-surgical complications.
Dr. Cantlon has served as a hand and upper extremity physician to the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, the Long Island University and New York University Athletic teams, and the New York Public School Athletic League (PSAL), High School Football.
In coming to ONS, Dr. Cantlon joins a comprehensive team of physicians who have trained at the country’s leading medical schools, universities and hospitals. Dr. Cantlon earned his medical degree at Columbia University, College of Physicians & Surgeons in New York City, and completed his residency training in Orthopedic Surgery from NYU Langone Medical Center, Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City. He completed fellowship training in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University, Rothman Institute in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Cantlon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electric and Computer Engineering from Cornell University.
