Osteoporosis: Prevention, Treatment and Management
Did you know that Osteoporosis affects 28 million Americans and contributes to more than 2 million bone fractures in women and men each year?
We all lose bone gradually as part of the normal aging process, beginning around age 35. In people with Osteoporosis, the rate of bone loss increases making hip and spine fractures more likely. Women over 50 are at greatest risk. To learn about Osteoporosis; Prevention, Treatment and Management, come to a seminar at Greenwich Hospital on October 23rd at 6:30 pm. The public is invited to come hear from medical experts about what measures may be taken to prevent bone loss or minimize its effects.
The program takes place in the Noble Conference Center at Greenwich Hospital, 5 Perryridge Road and is free of charge. Registration is requested. To register for ONS programs at Greenwich Hospital, please call (203) 863-4277 or (888) 305-9253, or register on-line at www.greenhosp.org.
